connect ot vpn and open RDC

how to I write a script to connect to a VPN, then open a remote desktop. I have saved a RDC file so assume I just call this file, but how do I connect to the vpn first.

Can you do this via the Windows Run dialog? If yes, you can simply use the run command in scripting.
