Search results tab - Locking tab

I just figured, that even in a locked search tab you're still able to change the search criteria and run a new search. Wasn't the intention to lock the settings of the find files panes along with locking a search tab?
Even more confusing was, that after doing so (altering the search criteria and run the new search), exiting and restarting TV3, the locked search tab suddenly changed back to a browsing tab, weird, don't you agree?

No, locked just means "the tab will never leave its current location". If you actively change the search criteria inside a SR tab, I suppose you know what you are doing and let you do so.

SR tabs can be configured to open as browsing tabs. Check your configuration (-> Remember Find mode between sessions).

I'm pretty sure this was discussed and agreed upon before

Yep, wasn't checked.
This solved the weird behaviour of changing it to a browsing tab, though I'm pretty sure it didn't switch back before, but haven't got an idea why.

I personnally like it the way it is, and besides I use the "SR tab" option, meaning all my searches are done in that one & only tab (locked), and I don't want to have to unlock it each time I wanna do a new search & re-lock it after.
If you wanna avoid "replacing" your search results, you can always choose the "new tab" option

There seems to be some misunderstanding. If you direct your search results to the SR tab, why does this one have to be locked? As far as I know, it's created if not available anyway.
Besides it wasn't my intention to lock "the" SR tab but other tabs in find mode, where I still think it makes sense to lock their find settings.

I lock it because I don't want that tab to get in browse mode, so if I click on a folder (on the treeview) or whatever, it will open a new tab instead.

No, locked just means "the tab will never leave its current location".

Not always true it seems. When a tab is allready locked and you do a search, the results will open in that allready locked tab and overwriting the content of the tab with the search results.
I think that when a tab is allready locked, the search results should open ik a new locked tab.
