Hi and welcome to the XY forums!

Ok, so it's not an exactly identical implementation to what you linked to, but are you aware that as of Feb 2nd or so, with ver 7.90.100, Tags and Comments are available in XY? We don't have a "cloud" feature but that is offset somewhat by having both a Tag and a free form Comment ability.

thanks for the warm welcome.

i didn't know that feature, i tested it out and its a little limited to what i've been looking for, but it is useful. are there any plans for improving the tag system? im thinking of a sidebar with tags, so i can click a specific tag that i wanted and all the tagged files of that particular tag would show up.

Not a sidebar in the sense you may be using, but look in this lengthy thread about Tags

PS: Oh, there will be an easy way once we have VFOs! You simply show all tagged items using "tag:*". You will then recognize non-existing items by some mark that I'm still thinking about... then you can untag them manually.
