No Arguments in Catalog Items

Post by sweety »

Hello every one,
i know i get a litte bit anyoing with thos "catalog item problems" But i use xyplorer on an windows system without an MS explorer shell. So it have to work...

OS: XP and Vista 32Bit (Maybe 64Bit too)
XYplorer: v7.90.0101

Problem:
I like to run Rundll comands (open Control Panel and things like that) but thos things need arguments after the rundll.exe. Example:

Code: Select all

%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe Shell32,Control_RunDLL
Only the following code works (rundll.exe without arguments do nothing - but it works ^_^)

Code: Select all

%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe
I hope this is an bug and not a "new" feature request.

Greetings Anke

You have to quote the EXE if it has parameters:
"%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe" Shell32,Control_RunDLL
Then set the "action on click" in the Catalog Item Properties to "Open Item", and you have a one-click access to the Control Panel. :)

Thanks for the fast Help.
Also, XY supports run commands:
this would also open control panel from catalog or AB etc;
::run control panel;

Works, but better use quotes:
::run "control panel";
