Columns problem : they all keep coming back

Post by jacky »

Okay, so I can reproduce this, sort of, I guess...

 My own config: Whenever I switch from a Browsing Tab to a Finding Tab, I loose Columns visibility in the newly active tab. So, when I start a search my SR tab is activated, as expected, and the columns are all visible (Not expected, thankfully I can restore layout from (my) default).

Thanks I switch back to my Browsing tab, and again all Columns are visible, so I need to restore here as well. Quite annoying.

 Trying to reproduce, I couldn't, but I got something somewhat similar : I start a fresh 7.60.0012, I got an active Browsing Tab. I set some columns visible, then start a search in SR tab, and set some columns visibility here as well. Switching from one tab to the other it works all fine, but! If now I exit XY and start back, the columns for the active tab (doesn't matter if it was the Browsing or Finding one) are all visible!

NB: When I say all columns are visible,
- on my setup, that excludes Line Numbers & Path, which isn't actually visible on SR tab (it's all but those two then), even though it should be visible.
- with a fresh install, Line Numbers isn't visible either, but when starting on Finding Tab the Path column is indeed visible.

I'm just assuming both are symptoms of the same bug, given the similarities, but I'll leave that up to you to determine for sure ;)

Yes, sorry about that. That was a sloppy part of the 7.50-FVS-bug-survivor-fix -- should be history with next upload.
