When reporting a bug, please include the following information: your XYplorer version (e.g., v27.90.0047), your Windows version (e.g., Win 11), and your screen scaling percentage (e.g., 125%). We recommend adding your Windows version and screen scaling percentage to your profile or signature. This will make debugging much easier for us.

What Don is asking about is: when you right-click (like in Win Expl/XY), are there any non-standard options there that you've installed either explicitly or via software that did it? Like "winZip" or similar...things that aren't avail with std OS install.

It's been a case before that these other apps can cause XY to crash...not saying WinZip would, but some lesser known stuff might.
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

An easy way to test it would be to delete using the keyboards Delete key instead of the context menu's Delete command. If the Delete key works then the problem is likely to be something with the the context menu.

An easy way to tell if you have such shell extensions installed and whether or not they affect you would be to go in Configuration - Advanced and check option "Default items only in shell context menu"

Sorry its taken me so long to get back to you. After doing this

Configuration - Advanced and check option "Default items only in shell context menu"

I see WinZip, Entrust, Explore from here, XYplorer, and Open With.

Unchecking the above adds

Scan for threats (macafee enterprise), Edit with Notepad++, Quick View Plus, Quick Print, Quick Compress, three more Entrust options.

Since it doesnt happen all the time it would be hard to tell if there was a difference between the keyboard and the delete key. I dont remember it happening with the delete key.
