XYplorer frequently crashes during copy-and-paste operations

My XYplorer installation crashes frequently. XYplorer is the only application on my computer in which I experience such crashes.

The crashes occur mainly in the following situations:

• Copying and pasting a file within XYplorer
  Copying a file from Windows File Explorer to XYplorer, particularly when the file may be locked or in use by another application

These are the most frequent and disruptive cases, as copying files is one of the program’s core functions.

My system configuration:

• Operating system: Windows 11
  Display scaling: 100%
  XYplorer version: 28.30.3000 (64-bit)

Please let me know if you require any additional information, crash logs, or diagnostic data to investigate the issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you use the shell context menu for your copying and pasting?

I'm using the Keyboard ctrl+c ctrl+v or drag&drop from Windows File Explorer to XYplorer.
Did a full re-install of XYplorer but the crashes still occur :-(

I’m uploading the event log details from the last crash. Unfortunately, XYplorer keeps crashing regularly. It’s barely possible to work with the program anymore.

Question: How can I set it up here in the forum to receive email notifications when a reply is posted to my ticket?

That's very unusual. Are you using any 3rd-party products that may hook into the clipboard or drag+drop or copy process? Or any uncommon antivirus products?

I'm experiencing exactly the same issue. When I copy a file in Windows File Explorer (Ctrl+C) and then paste it into XYplorer (Ctrl+V), the application crashes and I have to force-terminate the process. Drag-and-drop copying works perfectly fine. This has been happening for years — I always update to the latest version as soon as it's released, but the problem still hasn't been resolved.

Drag-and-drop operations crash on my system too. Unfortunately, the crashes are becoming increasingly frequent, making the tool almost unusable. The error messages don’t provide any useful information either. My suggestion to the developer: install a debug build on my computer to help track down the cause.

Regarding gthe question "Are you using any 3rd-party products that may hook...". I do have quite a few tools installed on my PC that hook into various parts of the system, so it’s hard to say which one might be causing the issue.

I also have problem while doing file operations (copy/move/delete). First it slows down extremely and then it crashes.

But I only have the problem at work, where we use Trend Micro anti-virus. If I close Trend Micro the problem goes away.
