Word minimize when initially opening an XY/docx file.

When I click on a Word file to open it in XY. It opens, but it usually minimizes immediately. Is there a simple cure?
Under Mouse Usability, what does 'Highlight hovered items' do?
Same with 'Show tooltips'?

I now use the 'Show verbatim tooltips' and Tooltip zoom(%) set to 115. This is just wonderful for my fading eyesight. Thanks!
Testing some other values cause it to be reset to 100.

1) Word: Never heard of this issue, and I can't see a cure from here. I would guess it's some setting in Word?

2) Highlight hovered items: highlights the hovered items in Tree, List, Catalog, and all small lists.

3) Tooltip zoom reset to 100? When?

I believe a number less than 100 was entered. Thanks for your reply.
