Custom copy/move not displaying progress

Post by kiwichick »

I've just updated to v28.30.2600 from v28.30.2402. When doing a custom copy/move the progress bar displays no progress. I've tried with a fresh instance and it's the same.

I also discovered something when doing a copy/move. I assume it's only doing this with a long path. The red rectangles in the screenshot show how the path is being displayed. The bottom one should not be there.

I just tried with a fresh install on two laptops (one Windows 10 Pro, the other Windows 11 Pro) and there's no progress shown on either of them.

I just updated to v28.30.2700 and there is still a slight glitch with the long path dirt. The dirt is still there when the copy/move dialog is open but it goes away when foucs is shifted from the dialog.

I've done a check with the version where Custom Copy got glown up [v28.30.2501] and the progress bar not showing progress was present there, too.

Yep, saw the remaining dirt. Next beta it's fixed.

No luck with the progress bar.

So when I said I'd checked my Windows 10 and Windows 11 laptops, I had only remote accessed into the 11 laptop from the 10 laptop. I thought I'd better check properly so I physically went to the 11 laptop and the progress is displayed on that so, obviously, there's something on my 10 laptop that's causing it.

I have also no progress bar. I can confirm that the problem apears in version 28.30.2501. In 28.30.2500 the progress bar is fine. I'm currently on 28.30.2800 portable and still have no progress bar.

Ah, now I saw the pattern: 150% scaling. A screen scaling of 150% or more made the progress bar disappear. Fixed in next beta!
