Scrolling FIND FILES results, mouse scroll jumps to 32,768th position of list?

When I search for files, I have a methodology of sorting by a timestamp, going to the bottom of the list (most recent), and then scrolling upwards until I find the previous timestamp I want to find.

Since a new computer installation a few weeks ago, when I scroll the mouse up (or down) if the cursor is on a file AFTER the 32,768th in the list, the scroll window re-centers itself to that 32,768th file.
So this MUST have something to do with binary counting, but what??

*I'm now on Win11 instead of Win10 on the old PC
Mouse driver un/re-installed with no effect.
Any help appreciated...

28.30.1900 64bit (I downloaded 2 weeks ago).

This morning, I updated to TODAY'S version 28.30.2100 - still happening.
I rolled back a few versions until 25.8 which worked normally - this was the last one I used before v28.
Then I updated to the current 28.30.2100 - happening again.

So - it's not Win11 (unless there has been a recent update that affects the newer XYPlorer version)- I haven't used Win11 prior to 2 weeks ago.
But something MUST be hitting some limit of 2^15 (=32,768) - this is not a random number.

Intel x64 CPU
MSI B860M-A WiFi motherboard
AMI BIOS 3.8
32GB RAM
Bought the PC 2 weeks ago, updated all drivers, updated most software as I installed everything.
So everything is about as current as it can be.

I'm going to settle on 25.80 for a while because this issue it truly annoying, but will keep checking on new releases to see if this is mentioned in the Change Logs.
BUT - if anyone else has this issue and can suggest a root cause (or a fix?), please do!

Yes... (middle button on an Evoluent 4 Vertical Mouse).

OK, so it's not a BUG...

The PC is very new, and I always update my software during a new install, so there could be a conflict in there somewhere.
The weirdest part to me is the fact it goes to the 2^15th row in the list. That number means SOMEthing...
