Main Menu Hidden Ctrl+Shift+Alt+F12 has no effect

Problem: What it says in the subject line.

If I'm understanding the program right, Ctrl+Shift+Alt+F12 should display the main menu under all circumstances.

I do have the small icon that normally would display the main menu, which does nothing when left-clicked, but which I can right-click, and then the main menu appears as the context menu for the mouse.

I did not have this problem until today. I did customize the tool bar and adjust my configuration under that menu, but that's all I can think of that changed, but again shouldn't Ctrl+Shift+Alt+F12 work no matter what I changed?

Ctrl+Right-Click the "Show Menu Bar" button to control the behavior of that button and #1061.

Ctrl+Right-Click the "Show Menu Bar" button gave me the option to show 2 types of menu bar. One, "toggle classic menu bar", which I'd never seen before, is a bright white 1990's-looking menu bar that does not respect dark mode. I guess I used to have the "modern menu bar". When I tell it to toggle that one, nothing happens.

I prefer the placement (and text size) of the classic. Is there a setting to make the classic menu white or grey text on black background like the rest of the application?

If not, then I figured out that I can add the "menu" back as little icons with the names on them, "File", "Tools", etc. So I have done that workaround, and it looks good in dark mode.

After following this thread I also switched my menu to the new style with dark mode and had to increase the button font size in the Options of Customize Toolbar to make it bigger but am now a happy camper.
The effect of the Toggling Toolbar selection with various settings in the Ctrl+Right Click menu were a bit unexpected but I managed to get it right in the end.
So, thanks for leading me there.

Admin: Knowing that the issue is not reproducible on your end is not helpful to me to fix the malfunction in your software.

The issue remains that I can't toogle to the Modern menu but can toggle to the Classic menu.

Try to enable Window | Arrangement | Allow Multiple Button Rows.

Your file manager has the complexity of a powerful tool. Thanks for guiding me through what I thought was a bug. Learning the ctrl-click trick is great.

As an aside, it may be a useful data point for you to know that the feature that pushed me over the line into buying XYplorer is your ability to rapidly display extremely large thumbnails. The thumbnails are sharp too, not blurry. You created two programs in one: A file manager and a photo organizer that then can be a jumping off point into my photo editor. XNViewMP displays large thumbnails with a cool slider but sucks at file management. Your program bridges the gap.

Bizarrely, other file managers are stuck with 256x256 postage stamp-sized thumbnails in the age of 4K monitors.
