Cannot view attached files without logging in

ver 28.30.0601 Enterprise license

Just started getting locked out of viewing attached files, unless I first log in to XY. I maybe had it before I updated to .0601 from .0600.
I didn't use the forum for awhile. Some limited testing shows same prob on both .png and .jpg. Before I do more, with always the possibility I'm somehow causing this with some dumb change on my part, I'll just hold up on this for now. After I log in, I have no viewing probs at all.
To see the attached files, you need to log into the forum.

That's done on purpose as one of the ways to stop bots.
