Blank screen on startup

Post by bhmu »

Hi,

I get a blank screen when launching the application. This is happening randomly and i have to close and relaunch the application before it works again. Is this a known issue and is there a fix?

Could this be related to Configuration | General | Startup & Exit | Check for updates at startup? (Do you also get the bank screen if you turn it off?)

I had the same problem with the 32-bit version as well. While it works after restarting the app, but it happens quite often. I turned it off and will check if this resolves the issue.

How long do you have that problem? Did it start at some point?

I don't recollect clearly when it started, but I remember facing this even on the 32-bit version. Since I disabled the Check for updates at startup, I don't see this happening. Hopefully it stays this way. Thanks a lot for the help.

Still cannot reproduce it. Can you mail your XYplorer.ini file to support, please?

The issue resurfaced again today. I have sent the .ini file to the support email referencing this thread. I had stripped off the license and other personal details. If any of them are needed I can provide, is there a secure way to share those?

Ok, thanks for checking. It is fine. I can live with it, it is just a minor annoyance. I reported thinking if it is a bug that might be good to fix.

Absolutely, you did the right thing! But if I cannot reproduce it (which is weird) I have no chance.

I don't get this problem at start up, but I will get it randomly a few times a day. XY loses its mind and I need to restart it.

Can't say what's causing it, but I'll try to start keeping track of what I'm doing when it happens.

When I updated my laptop from Win10 to Win11 I initially had XY 32bit. I updated that to the 64bit version and the first two times it launched, it looked similar to the OP's screenshot. It's been not quite a month now and it's never happened again.
