Incredible, but after updating to Windows 11, 24H2, 26100.4484 (I had a build just a little older), and updating my graphics drivers, the problem disappeared.

New version of XYplorer (64-bit) compiled with twinBASIC BETA 841:

XYplorerTB.exe, v27.00.0823, 64-bit, NOT digitally signed, zipped

Code: Select all

v27.00.0823 - 2025-07-04 17:57
+ New Variable <xysource>: Returns "VB" or "TB" depending on the language in which the
source code was written. The VisualBasic version always returns VB, the twinBASIC
      version always returns TB.
        echo <xysource>; //TB
    - Removed "TWINBASIC TESTING EDITION" from the title bar.
    - Removed section "Configuration | Other | Shell Integration | 64-bit Windows" from
      Configuration.
    ! Various fixes.
There will be glitches, there will be bugs. Work in progress.

Hi all, haven't been around much, got some health issues.

Looking very good Don, congrats.

FYI I noticed that although html works in the preview now, SC html seems to be non functional still.

Will the new TB version aid in resolving the occasional non clearance of the recycle bin?

Yes, SC html depends on adding non-basic controls dynamically (at runtime). This is not yet supported in TB.

I think this thread can retire now. Anything related to the 64-bit version should be posted in the regular forums and prefixed with "x64" or "64-bit." Once the 64-bit version is official, the prefix can be dropped.

Thank you! :D

There are still some minor bugs in the pipeline, such as the lack of mnemonic support. I think the 64-bit version will officially be released by the end of July 2025. After that, the 32-bit version will only be available as an alternative download.

Congratulations Don. :appl:

Concerning updates using SC update, are there any precautions we should take (i.e., will SC update work recognizing the folder the XYplorer.exe is located even if the folder is XYplorerTB? Currently, I have the new XYplorer.exe 64 version in a "D:\Tools\XYplorerTB", at least for now. The old VB version is in D:\Tools\XYplorer".
