I can't reproduce any problems with deleting files when I copy over my full XYVB data folder here so...

What happens when you just use your XYVB XYplorer.ini file for the XYTB instance?
If it doesn't work with it, attach it here...

I've sent you my xyplorer.ini file via PM. XYVB works fine with this.

But when using this ini, XYTB can't delete items. In ::fresh mode (i.e. not using this ini) XYTB works fine deleting items.

We did a bit of testing (Malarki & I) and we found the issue when deleting with XYTB isn't working anymore:

01. Copy xycopy.exe from XYVB into the XYTB folder
02. Enable these settings (it can be a totally fresh .ini file)
Configuration | File Operations | File Operations | Background Processing
[x] Enable background processing

Configuration | File Operations | File Operations | Background Processing | Apply to...
[x] Delete (runs at once in parallel process)

Now a file to delete with the delete key isn't deleted anymore...

0719 Windows 11 up to date
On context menu hover over options does not give list available, subsequent actions XYTB seizes.

Reverted to 0716 and same but perhaps I did not notice before.

Reporting since drag & drop is an issue though I haven't seen the same symptom mentioned. This is with Windows 10 w XYTB v719 ::fresh.

I can't right-click drag and drop a file to a folder link. XYTB will at most just make a copy of that file in the current folder.

I am able to drag & drop (copy/move) multiple items between panes; and can copy or move to subfolders of the current folder. But not to a link to a folder.

Neither does a left click drag and drop work when trying to put a file into a folder shortcut, the shortcut target isn't resolved:

Ofc this works fine in XYVB

Okay, I have not even touched XYcopy.exe yet. Does it even start? Did not test. Anyway, next week I will convert XYcopy.exe to 64-bit, then we should look at this again.

Confirmed. Also creation of shortcuts did not work. Both fixed in next version.

Sorry if I was a bit inarticulate will try better.
Patience is a virtue you need a break.

Right click a file a context menu appears hover over items in the menu and options should appear they do initially move up and down the list and after a few items are selected they are no longer available and XY freezes.

Reverted to 0716 and same but perhaps I did not notice before.

No it seems it doesn't start, at least I can't see in the task manager
This problem really only occurs if XYcopy.exe is present in XYTB's folder
If only the two config options are set and XYcopy.exe isn't there, the deletion works
Right click a file a context menu appears hover over items in the menu and options should appear they do initially move up and down the list and after a few items are selected they are no longer available and XY freezes.
Show a screenshot of the context menu and find out if it freezes on the same, reproducible entries.

I can confirm that something like this happens, e.g. with FastExplorer
It registers a .dll and after doing this it will display context menu entries that have been user defined and read from an .ini file
I personally use it to show the different editors to open files with them (all of them are portable)

This software isn't in development since a few years but it has worked flawlessly since at least 10 years for me
It works fine with XYVB 32- and 64-bit context menus as well as with Total Commander x64, Q-Dir x64 and Windows file explorer x64

But it doesn't work with XYTB, in the moment I hover over one of the context menus the registered .dll provides, XYTB will freeze and must be shut down afterwards

XYTB in all recent versions and in its own folder with a 100% fresh setup

Hi,

Excited to try the new TB version. I notice there are some links to a beta earlier in this thread, but was wondering if there is a specify place where links to the most current beta live?

You mean when hovering items in submenus of the context menu?

No, the items are registered in the main context menu, not in a submenu.
Once I hover over Sublime Text (or if I go outside the menu back in on any of the two other editor entries) XYTB will freeze
