I'm able to change the width of the other columns but not the first one (Path.1000,+Name.1000,+Ext.149,)
Changes seem to have no effect.
Is there a setting that might lock the width of the first column that might be conflicting with what I'm trying to do?
Can't set Path width using Load Column Layout
Re: Can't set Path width using Load Column Layout
I am surprised that layout you have shown even displays the Path column, try it like this instead
Also make sure you are using Load Column Layout, not Load Layout.
+Path.1111,+Name.1000,+Ext.149
Also make sure you are using Load Column Layout, not Load Layout.
Re: Can't set Path width using Load Column Layout
I think I might have been unclear.
I'm trying to change the width of the very first column where Rapid Access, This PC, and Catalog reside.
Using the +path added a path column; this is not what I'm trying to do.

Re: Can't set Path width using Load Column Layout
Yes you were unclear, that is the Tree you are referencing, and it has nothing to do with Column Layouts, you can set its width via GUI using Window | Load Layout, or via script depending on what you are trying to do.
Re: Can't set Path width using Load Column Layout
I apologize for the incorrect terminology.
I believe I should have been using Save/Load Layout instead of Save/Load Column Layout.
What I'd really like is for the width of the tree to automatically adjust according to the contents of the tree.
Is this possible?
