Go ahead, man! Somehow I could never find a good resonance among audio freaks. Tell them!zeep wrote:Wow now i'm forced to pimp T3 worldwide amongst producers like myself. Browsing audio files has never been easier. Thanks!
Note that the Audio/Video Preview shortcuts work as well when the panel is down:
Space bar = Start/Stop playing.
Shift+Space bar = Restart from beginning

Re: Here's the new BETA
Download the latest TrackerV3 BETA version (v4.00.0140, 01-aug-2005).
Code: Select all
v4.00.0140 - 01.08.05 13:05
+ Menu Edit: new command "Selection Filter...". Now you can select a
subset of the currently listed files via pattern matching. For
example, *-* will select all files containing "-" in the name. Note
that the matching is hard-coded to be case-insensitive (a=A). Note
that if you enter no wildcards, wildcards will be internally added
(filter "b" => "*b*" => finds all files containing "b" in the name).
Just to spare you some key strokes.

Re: Here's the new BETA
Download the latest TrackerV3 BETA version (v4.00.0141, 02-aug-2005).
Code: Select all
v4.00.0141 - 02.08.05 19:37
+ New keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+M -> menu Edit/Selection Filter...
Think "Match-select".
+ New command "Set Extension..." in menu File/Rename Special. Sets a
new extension to all selected files (replacing the old one, or
adding a new one if there was none before). Enter nothing to remove
any extensions.
Folder names are skipped.
- Menu File/Rename Special, removed the following commands:
- Convert to DOS name
- *.html to *.htm
- *.htm to *.html
Re: Here's the new BETA
I don't think it to be a good idea. Convert to DOS name was a TrackerV-specific uniq feature, which could be usefull in some cases. Well, we did not need it very often, but however it was not absolutely useless as well. Please consider restoring it.admin wrote: - Menu File/Rename Special, removed the following commands:

I thought the same and went back to test this feature again with v4.00.0140 but it didn't work anyway.Leopoldus wrote:I don't think it to be a good idea. It returned an error message that the rename would collide with the DOS name that the file already has internally.

That's what I found, tooRalphM wrote:... but it didn't work anyway.
Now, since nobody even noticed that it does not work: are you really sure you need this feature? For what?

This feture is not for every day using nor every week, that's why nobody quickle noticed this problem. But sometimes it is very usefull indeed. For instance when some problems with files long names occure and you need to rename files to restore access to them this feature may help. This is as any other recover or security software: you need it perhaps once at year - or never, but you prefer to have it "for any extreme case".Now, since nobody even noticed that it does not work: are you really sure you need this feature? For what?

Use a renaming program like Renamer. TrackerV3 shouldn't try to do everything.
test everything. hold on to the good.
