Re: +++ BREAKING NEWS: XYplorer goes twinBASIC +++
Yeah lots of the DnD features still have issues, like dragging to CTB/BTB/DUB/RAF/CAT etc., probably all caused by the same tB bug.

Uploaded a digitally signed version (same download link).

The huge and complex script "Session Manager" works OK to save, update and delete sessions.
When drag & drop is fixed I plan to switch over to XYTB. The fidelity is amazing.

3 x Yes!jupe wrote: ↑17 Mar 2025 18:34 Just FYI, it seems that the IE based html control isn't operational.
I know it wouldn't be great for maintaining backwards compatibility with earlier versions of Windows, but it might be nice to eventually in the distant future upgrade to WebView2.
You must be pretty stoked about the tB migration being so good already.

Re: +++ BREAKING NEWS: XYplorer goes twinBASIC +++
New version of XYplorer compiled with twinBASIC (32-bit still):
XYplorerTB.exe, v27.00.0101, digitally signed, zipped
+ Fixes: window state, hover box crash, drag n drop not working.
There will be glitches, there will be bugs. Work in progress.

The weird thing is that sending a message to XY sometimes responds quickly and sometimes takes several seconds.
The Floating Preview is not really full screen, there are gaps:

XYTB 27.00.0101 on Win10.
Looks like there's been some good progress with drag 'n drop. Draging a file from the list to a tab does copy/paste.
Dragging a file (Icon) from the desktop to a tab does copy (or move) but the Custom Copy Completed window doesn't close automatically. Selecting a file in the list and then clicking on delete in the toolbar, it is not deleted. There is a status bar message "Nothing to delete". Hitting the delete key or right-click > delete are working as expected.

Great! Hover box and MDBU on file icons both are working and seem to be playing nice together. MDBU of mp4 files is now right side up!
Startup for me is still around 4 seconds and VB version 850 ms but I'm sure that will improve with age though I'm not sure if I'm improving with age.
Edit: MDBU of gif file thumbnails or gif file icons is not working.

Folder browsing has improved, but is still slow.
Looking forward to the next update.

Re: +++ BREAKING NEWS: XYplorer goes twinBASIC +++
I switched to XYTB in mid-March. The only thing I notice is that the "X" = Delete toolbar button hasn't worked (and still doesn't now). That's not to gainsay the other issues reported here - I just haven't had cause to trigger those. So it seems very, very close, which is great.
Re: +++ BREAKING NEWS: XYplorer goes twinBASIC +++
Yeah it is amazingly good for a completely ground up rebuild of a compiler/IDE by a small team, considering XYplorer is such a complex project, and knowing the x64 version is so close is tantalizing, maybe I should have mentioned tB sooner, instead of waiting until it was close to a v1 release.
One minor thing I noticed that I think is closely related to the earlier bug of startup window state, if I Aero snap XY to the screen edges, then Restore window from the title bar twice, XY goes back to a normal window not to its Aero snapped dimensions.
Also FYI the html control now works under certain conditions.

Re: +++ BREAKING NEWS: XYplorer goes twinBASIC +++
XYplorerTB 27.000.0202 seems quicker all around though startup stayed the same (4 times the non TB version) and still no MDBU on gifs. I'm sure you know that already though.
