Folder Contents Preview Hover Box > Show information including subfolders

The current hover box shows the size of files in a folder, but it ignores files in subfolders. It would be very helpful to include the total size of all files within a folder and its subfolders.

Maybe something like this?

This may result in long delays for deep structures.

With the mouse hover delay, it's on demand only (I have my hover box configured to react to the folder icon, not the folder name). For most folders it shouldn't take longer than a few ms anyways.
And, it doesn't block the UI, does it?. Move the mouse away from a folder, and the hover box disappears immediately.

If it's not too much to ask for, it could be an option that can be enabled/disabled in the configuration. Or the hover box could update the file (size) count in real time, so that users see that the operation will take a few seconds.

No, not suitable for HB. HB is about instant response.

Well, it would be instant for most folders. You could still show file information instantly, and calculate subfolder files while the hover box is being displayed. If you don't care about the total file size, continue doing whatever you were doing. Otherwise, keep the mouse cursor hovering until the size calculation finished. Wouldn't that be the best of both worlds?

Edit: Especially with SSDs in mind, this feature wouldn't bother users even when they don't need subfolder information. It would complement other recursive features like custom icons for folders containing empty subfolders (/n).

Well, I have seen that it can be useful. So there will be something like that in the next beta.
