:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Difference in Files

Post by xanthareel »

In the Desktop folder there seems to be a significant difference between what xyplorer shows and windows shows. Why is this and how do I fix it?

It looks like you have setup OneDrive to backup your desktop folder so Explorer is actually showing the redirected OneDrive location.

If neither of these leads to it
Favorites | Special System Folders | Desktop
Favorites | Special System Folders | Desktop (Virtual)

then your easiest workaround would probably be just creating a link on your real desktop that goes to your OneDrive desktop.

Thanks that worked!

I do have a related question though. How come my actual desktop shows more links than what's in the desktop folder? XYPlorer and File explorer show the same desktop folder now, but it's less than what's on the desktop.
