Hi there
I regularly encounter troubles in XY plorer with the thumbnails.
1) often, the XYplorer program starts re-generating itself the thumbnails, I dont know why. In one of my directories I have more than 3500 pictures so it takes ages and slows downs (sometimes temporarily halts) the program. In the attached picture you can see my parameters . What did I wrong ? I store the thumbnails on a separate directory on one of my drives (Y:\ = a virtual drive which handles a physical partition encrypted with Veracrypt, it is seen as a perfectly normal disk by Windows)
2) sometimes the thumbnails are filled with garbage (see other attached picture). How comes ??
Thanks for help..
Sometimes i have to revert to windows explorer because of these annoyances.. so sad..

trouble with thumbnails
Re: trouble with thumbnails
Hello, I meet the same problem. Usually, I use this script to clean the thumbnails of the cache viewtopic.php?f=7&t=12257 and I go on.

Re: trouble with thumbnails
For me garbled (or black) thumbnails occur semi-regularly when I duplicate a tab to the other pane.
I have the following custom event action on double clicking a tab:
When the tab is duplicated to the other pane, the thumbnails in the original pane can end up looking like this:
This is fixable by refreshing the thumbnails, or by just navigating away and back in.

Re: trouble with thumbnails
What a handy script! However, is it expected behaviour that a "Are you sure you want to permanently delete all of these items?" popup appears for every file that is selected?lian00 wrote: ↑03 May 2024 15:46 Hello, I meet the same problem. EDITED TO ADD: I can see now that it's happening because I used the first script on the page you linked but there is a newer version on the last page (pg15 at the time of this comment) here: viewtopic.php?p=204361#p204361
