Always auto fit Name column?

Is there anyway to have "Autosize Columns Now" command apply whenever you go to a new folder?
Was trying to play around in Options with the Autofit Name width column options but it never seems to want to go to the minimum I set, it's always way too large and then you have lots of blank space in many folders. Something like how "Always autosize the Size column" works. Perhaps I'm missing something as to how the Minimum and Max Name column width is supposed to work?

Why not simply tick Tools | Customize List | Autosize Columns?

I am not the original poster..
I have set the setting . but the last few characters of the largest file/folder name gets shortened to "..."
example :-
international becomes internati.....
InkscapePortable becomes InkscapePort....

This occurs on the longest file names only....

If there is not enough space you get the "...". It's normal.
