[fixed in v24.50.0012] Renaming folders with a long name in the tree pane can disrupt the name alignment

Sorry for the weird title. I wasn't sure how to explain the issue in few words .
When "Show name length while renaming [Sort and Rename - Rename]" is enabled, the name length can lead to a misalignment of "overly long" (longer than the tree width) folder names while renaming.

Upon renaming, the folder name gets aligned right, with its length shown to the right of it. This works fine, even with folder names that are wider than the tree pane. Placing the cursor near the end of an overly long file name and typing, the folder name gets realigned and the cursor and newly typed text are covered by the name length information.

It looks like the alignment does not take the name length display into account when typing new text. Interestingly, the cursor indicator is displayed (wrongly) just to the left of the name length information. Even though the actual cursor position is further right and covered by the name length information.

When I rename the same folder in a tab instead of the tree, the alignment is correct, and XYplorer correctly realigns the file name with every newly typed character. In the tree pane, it works correctly when "Show name length while renaming" is disabled.

My screen resolution is 3840x2160 at 100%. The XYplorer windows is 2428x2140.

Hm, I'll try a fresh XYplorer installation... ok, after deleting my Data folder and enabling "Show name length while renaming", XYplorer (24.50) started in a small 1639x1308 window and showed the described behaviour.

"...after deleting my Data folder"? To try a fresh instance just use fresh; in the address bar.

Well, I lied when I said I deleted my Data folder . I moved it out of the XYplorer folder while XYplorer was closed. And I moved it back after testing. But "fresh;" sure is helpful, and I will use it in the future (of course, it behaved the same as with the moved Data folder)

Works well here and ticking "Show name length while renaming" makes no difference. I'm on Win8.1 currently. What's yours?

I experience a similar thing in the Tree when the RHS divider/scrollbar is in the way, it is like it center aligns the inline rename field, so the typed chars are out of view, Win10@120%

For me it works fine with that option disabled (which is my setting in my normal config) After further testing it seems the strlen box is redrawn ontop of the inline rename field. The typed chars go behind the len box and right arrow doesn't go to the end but End key does.

And this happens in the tree only, not the list?

Yes, list seems fine, I also tried moving tree to the RHS and it was the same.

I am on Windows 10 too (100% scaling).

I saw it now. It's only in Win10 (and probably 11) and only in the compiled code (this is a rare thing to happen and makes it a PITA to debug). I'll look into it later.

Thanks a lot for fixing this. I downloaded v24.50.0012, and renaming works perfectly fine now.
