I am pretty sure I looked everywhere, but I don't think there is any way to change and customize the status bar colors, is there?
Perhaps alongside the similar color(s), like that of the Tree separator.
Such would be very much appreciated, as I find it a tad too bright/close to white on my main device.

Re: Status bar colors
This has been on my list for a long time. The next beta will offer a new tweak. Let's see how it goes.

Awesome!
The only unexpected behavior is that the background color of a non-focused item in the Tree changes along, but there already is a solution to that by enabling

Colors and Styles > Highlights & Dark Mode > Selections in non-focused controls
, so this seems perfect to me.-

Re: Status bar colors
Ah yes, right. Also in the List and all small lists. But, while being unexpected, it's not really a problem, right? Readability is there, and it can even be seen as nicely fitting into the new skin.

Re: Status bar colors
Definitely not a problem, not for me at least.
The only thing I could think of that would make it better is if the text color could be changed along, so that in case it were to indeed hinder readability (e.g. in the extreme of making it black/

), one could set the text on top to something more readable also, to never have that be an issue or complaint.-

Re: Status bar colors
Just saw that checkboxes and radio buttons don't take the custom text color. Can you confirm?

Re: Status bar colors
Indeed, they do not.
Also, inactive tabs inherit the text color, whereas the 'New Tab' and 'Tab List' plus and arrow icons take on just the background color: And the
Info Panel > Find Files > Name & Location
tab title has its own color (all the other tabs do use the custom text color):
I put it to FFFF00|FF0000
as some extremes just for testing.Edited to add images

Re: Status bar colors
I'd say checkboxes aren't a big deal compared to this effect, though yeah, checks don't use custom color. BTW why tweak and not another option in Colors?

Re: Status bar colors
Horrible colors, almost blinded me, but great for testing. But it should be fixed in next beta.
The blue text in Find Files tabs mark which filters are active.

Re: Status bar colors
Too crazy, and still somewhat limited. If you make the text color brighter than the background, you will meet readability issues here and there.
