Greetings,
Please bear with me as I try to be as specific as possible.
On the toolbar of XYplorer we can choose to have a button called 'This PC' (has the icon of a PC) which will, on click, basically show a dropdown menu listing all drives and/ or links like 'This PC', 'Desktop', 'Downloads', 'Pictures', etc.
We can click on an item from the menu, which would then redirect the view to that specific path.
There is one such item in the menu that redirects us to the Windows HOME directory. This item has the caption 'UserName'.
Now, if one has plugged in some external device with the same name/ label as the user account, then upon clicking that menu item, the program will redirect us to that device instead of %USERPROFILE%.
It's just a very niche case and only seems to affect this particular control. Behavior reverts to original upon unplugging the device and restarting XYplorer.
Thank you kindly,
Path Misdirection

Re: Path Misdirection
Hello again,
I have tested a bit further and it seems to only do this if the device is an Android phone.
It behaves the same no matter if the cable's end connected to the PC port is USB 2/3 or C.
I should also mention that I am running Windows 11.
