I have designated TeraCopy as external copy handler,
and this works fine for all operations
except MOVE on same drive (volume),
when I drag something from one pane to another.
For the latter, XYplorer copy function always kicks in.
I would like TeraCopy to handle this as well.
I am using XYplorer 24.20.0400, and
have tried multiple versions of TeraCopy
(old and new) with same result.
Other external copy handlers (e.g. Fast Copy)
have the same problem,
so I assume it's not them causing this,
but it's XYplorer's setup.
Actually, on just moving a single file,
there is no dialog, so I do not know
which program is handling it,
but when I try to move a copy of some files
so there is a collision (file with same name exists)
only then a dialog kicks in and it is XYporer's dialog
while TeraCopy is nowhere to be seen.
When I use right-click and drag and drop
(windows explorer shell extension of TeraCopy)
and use "Move with TeraCopy" then
everything works the way I want it
(TeraCopy asks me about "name collision").
Below is a screenshot of my settings.
What am I doing wrong ?

Re: External Copy Handler - Doesn't Work for Move on Same Drive
Move with TeraCopy 3.9.7 works fine here.
Look on your Move settings !
Your screen shoot doesn't show how have configured the TeraCopy entry.
Mine looks like this

Re: External Copy Handler - Doesn't Work for Move on Same Drive (Resolved)
Thank You, Horst, You fixed it !
I made my settings same as Yours,
it seems that unchecking
"for cross-volume moves only"
fixed it
(see image below, I circled the culprit)
