Thumbs keep being re-generated

Post by LGS »

Hi all
When I open XY plorer it very often re-generates all the thumbnails.
It is as if the thumbnails database disappears.
This is very annoying because in some reps I have a lot pf pics, so this takes plenty of time and keeps XYplorer busy.
Maybe I have some wrong setting ? (see attached screen copy)
Thanks for help !

You shouldn't enable this:

Configuration | Preview | Thumbnails | Cache path | Resolve cache path from current folder

if you are using an absolute path to your cache folder.

I had asked Don quite a while ago concerning those thumbnail settings. The absolute path will take precedence as if the "Resolve cache path from current..." was not checked. So, you're right jupe don't check it.

Clever remark!. It's a drive encrypred by Veracrypt, but I make it available at every reboot, so I dont think it's that.
thank you though. I will try to untick the "Resolve cache path from current..." thing.
