Neither have I. I can fix it when I see it.

Well, here is a clue for you. It only happens when I have the View Thumbnails size is set to 192 or 300, it does not happen with it set to 64, so it has something to do with the size of the thumbnails. Some sort of overflow related to the size of the thumbnails is occurring with the larger thumbnails.

What's your setting for Configuration | Preview | Preview | Image preview | Limit original preview size?

It is set to 2000, but the box is unchecked, so I guess you could say it's set to Unlimited.

I am just recycling this topic thread, and this probably isn't important but thought it might be worth mentioning, I was just testing out the new SC preview, and on certain mkv (and to a lesser extent mp4) files I get Error 16 when using preview , te32; it seems to be larger files mainly 300mb+, sometimes it flashes up a proper preview image first, other times it doesn't, other times it is just a black box and no error message, I am only mentioning it since I thought it might be related to the PreviewEarly not working on some PCs and its state being ignored when using this cmd (I use non default =1). Since this is mainly a debug cmd it probably doesn't matter, but after that error occurs, MDBU broke for some files until I restarted XY, it reacted just like it does when I have default PreviewEarly=0 setting, busy cursor then nothing, thumbnails still worked though. (I have cache disabled), but normal preview pane/panel was then blank for all video files (only quartz), maybe that setting is remembered somehow for the rest of the session after that error comes up.

The only fix I have been able to come up with is to continue to use an earlier version and not update.

You got it, Sherlock. Fixed in next beta.

My MDBU breaking looks fixed, but the preview pane/panel is still broken (no video frame only blank pane) for videos the rest of the session, when I run SC preview with the n param, it thinks it is loading successfully though, anyway I will just avoid using that te32 debug command.

Just tried .0507 and same situation, ie after the error the preview pane no longer works for video files for the rest of the session, although now if I subsequently run SC preview with the t flag, it brings it back to a working state again, but I have experienced it where it shows the video frame and a thumbnail, but sometimes the thumbnail is of a different file, also QAP controls don't playback when that happens, but if it shows the correct thumbnail they do, bizarre, anyway I wouldn't waste too much time on this.

Yes, weird. I'll wait until I see it myself.

Don't know what you did but I just installed the latest update and the video preview issue appears to be gone.
Thank You :appl:
