I am using Chinese. I enabled this UTF-8 support in windows because one of my other programs needs it to work properly.
PS: if I change the system language to English things get even worse, almost all texts are distorted.
However, enabling this option causes part of xyplorer texts to be distorted.
I can't type in any Chinese in the settings input field.
Here is my system info.
Turning off the UTF-8 support is impossible because I really need my other programs to act properly.Enabling utf8 support cause distorted text

Re: Enabling utf8 support cause distorted text
I tried setting the thread locale about two years ago but it failed, at least on Win 8.1. I will be migrating my environment to Win 10 soon. It could be an opportunity.

Re: Enabling utf8 support cause distorted text
Changing the manifest would hardcode it for all users.
