I assume this is ticked: Configuration | File Operations | File Operations | Background Processing | Enable background processing ? Try to untick it.
Can't live without that! If the problem were more reproducible, I'd oblige. But I'll try this when I next see the problem occur.
Running on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit quad-core ASUS G752-VY notebook with 64 GB RAM, over 26 external USB3 drives attached via multiple powered hubs with letters and mount points, totaling 120+ TB.
Same thing for me - I can see the icon in the task bar, but no application window.
I have checked the no network browsing on startup... that seemed to work for a few days... but now the main program window is not showing up again.

When you re-open it everything looks normal again?

It is hit and miss... sometimes it will reopen and other times it will not.
I have not rebooted recently either. Though rebooting the PC doesn't seem to make much difference.
After a reboot, it can have the same issue where it will not start.

As an update, this issue of XYplorer not launching on top of other windows continues to plague me. It'll work most of the time, and then every once in a while it just won't launch on top of other windows. Since I have 4 monitors, I have to play a frustrating version of where in the world is XYplorer. This happens on both of my computers.
I did try the background processing setting even though I don't think that was meant for my particular issue.
Any other ideas? I really don't want to leave XYplorer. Everything else is perfect. But I don't know how else to fix this. Thanks for any help!
What is your setting here? Configuration | General | Startup & Exit | Startup window state
Try to set it to "Normal" if it is set to "Last state". (I just hope it's not set to "Minimized".)

I often minimize, then later clean up windows with right-clicking on the taskbar to close rather than un-minimizing it then closing. By launching the app again after closing a minimized XYPlorer window, I can easily reproduce my issue when "last state" is set. Switching to "normal" works the way I'd like. Great!
Can't believe I didn't see this setting after all these years or think it might have been triggered by being in a minimized state. It's in a logical place in the settings so not sure how I missed it.
Well, it took also me almost one year to find the solution.

Just wanted to report back a few weeks later to confirm that the setting "Startup window state:" to Normal fixed the issue 100%. I've not had any problems since making this change.
Thanks again for the fix, and for making a great product.
