Little problem with preview

Post by gtaillandier »

Hello

I have version 5.55.0001 and when I preview several .flv video they're not well displayed. It's just like a rotation has been applied.

Can someone help me ?

Sincerely.

I never had this phenomenon... no idea what's causing it.

Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

Plays fine for me with version 5.55.0001. It could be the codecs, but not sure.
BTW, you can try to add flv extension to XY file associations (Menu "Tools>List management>File associations") and see if that helps. Eg:"flv>C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe" if you use windows media player.

In "Tools>List Management", I don"t have "File associations".

The problem is not with all videos, but with a few one only.

Why ?

I can play the video just fine in Sorenson's FLV player, but it hangs XY 6.80.0006. The UI becomes non-responsive and the preview panel only shows "Loading"

-Jeff

EDIT: It's system problem here because it also hangs WMP.

I dont understand,
1) you dont have the submenu "File association" in list management OR
2) you dont have anything inside file associations window?

If its 1 then there is something wrong because its supposed to be there. Reinstall XY then. If its 2 then add the flv association to the window.

Certainly its not the XYplorer file manager because your uploaded video plays fine for me. Remember that it depends on how the FLVs were made or encoded from. probably your system can play FLVs that were encoded from one format but not another.

Ok, so I'm not using the old vers 5.55 but am using 6.80.06, and here that FLV only plays audio in XY! It plays fine via VLC Media Player and Riva FLV Player and Applian FLV player, however...

I use K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 1.59. No problems.
