I've had the same problem since many months...

Using a locked mini tree (_with_ servers showing under "Network") and after unchecking "Check existence of subfolders in tree" they are...
GONE

I hope it stays that way :masked:

The "Check existence of subfolders in tree" setting (and it's sub-setting) does not make any difference for me. With the normal tree, it's slow in any combination of those settings, and with the mini tree it's fast in any case.

Whether I'm accessing another Windows machine shared on the network or my Synology drive. No issues with this when using Windows File Explorer.
It looks like a known old Windows problem. Try these commands in admin mode :

netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=disabled (=normal to rollback to windows default value)
ipconfig /flushdns

Wow. I can't believe something that simple has worked! I've had this problem for months now. Thanks Delphine for the suggestion!
