Old faithful script has stopped working

For years have been using this to clear Recent Location:

"Clear Recent History|:wipe";
msg "Are you absolutely positively sure?", 48 + `
sendkeys "%c{ENTER}";
#631;

Beginning today it gets as far as opening up Recent Location then stops leaving me to manually finish.

Any guidance on this for "the scripting disabled" would save the day!

Apart from the + backtick (and the missing semicolon)...

Nothing has changed regarding sendkeys and if it doesn't work, find out what has changed on the OS side...

How on earth could that have happened?
The only hypothesizes are poltergeist or a random hit by a Cosmic Ray. If you have any better ideas let me know ...
