Two wishes

Post by jjo5555 »

An apply button in the configuration dialog so one can see the changes without having to exit the dialog.

An optional little close icon (x) on tabs like firefox.

1. Not possible.
2. Planned as option.
3. Hi!

1. Shame. I can see why given the way it's implemented. But there is a dirty hack I think. The apply could exit the configuration dialog and then re-open the dialog at the same place.

2. Great

3. Hi (again - I'm Jason - the guy with the font sizing issues in Vista at 100dpi that you fixed so quickly).

It's like a breath of fresh air using a product where feedback is taken seriously. Well done sir.

Which of the settings are you thinking about anyway?

Any of the settings that make a visual difference to the interface.

I would agree that having some method of seeing certain types of changes even via a work-around as suggested would make it more consistent with other apps and how they handle it.
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

I just suggested the Apply button 10 days ago to deaf ears.. :(

As you can see in that thread I mention that part of the problem with the current method is the fact that the position of the dialog is not remembered.

Hi again

Did you get anywhere further with either of these two suggestions?

The position of the dialog is now remembered. That's all I can do.

Tab icons are still planned.
