Check for updates
Re: Check for updates
+1 on that, it would be quite convenient to have!
Re: Check for updates
Is it hard to add to the settings?
I don’t want to completely turn off automatic update checking, but it’s also not very good to watch the delay during the scan every time XYplorer starts.

Well, then use Help | Online Support | Check for Updates and you have full control over the check period.

Re: Check for updates
Well, if you can’t do it, then don’t. You are only minor problems and can fix, instead of solving serious problems in xyplorer.

Re: Check for updates
There are indeed some super useful features missing from this software that even the newbie file managers are providing, but here we are seeing versions after versions coming out with superficial cosmetic changes that make no sense in a heavy duty file manager use case. I have a feeling the developer is either running out of ideas or is unable to develop those long standing feature requests (technically incompetence or software limitations??) . Pretty sad ending to what was a promising software for some time. Yet another corporate client based in north EU recently selected a newbie file manager (volume licensing) over xyplorer singly for its abilities and performance in handling large multipart archive files. personally I didn't think the winner was better in any aspect except for these features which were deemed critical by the client.
