Problem with Copy between Panes

I have a problem with Copying files between Panes.

When trying to copy a single file - by Ctrl-C + Ctrl-V or by Ctrl+drag - the file is not copied / does not appear in the target Pane.

Weirdly both methods work when I copy more than one file.

I checked Tools/Configuration/FileOperations ... I did not change any of the settings and have EnableBackgroundProcessing ticked + Copy handler: XYcopy.ece v2.10.0154 .
