In a few folders, I would like to see one particular file always at the top of the file list - regardless of how the files are sorted.
Is there any way to do this?
Thanks
Always have one parrticular file at the top of the list

Permanent Custom Sort Order (PCSO) - But not when switching between folders in the tab where it's active

Sort of!
What I'd really like is to set one file that always stays at the top regardless of whether you sort the folder by name, date, etc.
i.e. the rest of the files sort as normal but this one stays at the top.

The same filename for all folders? Just asking, it's not possible.

Not the same filename.
Sometimes I have a file which is either some sort of index or perhaps a frequently used reference document for that folder.
Be nice to have it at the top.
It's easy if you always sort by name but no so easy if usually sort by date!

You could always use a simple script that uses
sortbylist
but ofc this has to be done manually...One of my scripts helped you out? Please donate via Paypal

Or assign a Label to that file, then sort the list by Label, and secondary-sort (hold SHIFT while clicking the column header) it by whatever sort order you wish.

That's an interesting idea - I'll have a play with that.
