there were already few topics with similar wish in past, and i was waiting for this to come someday bit by bit, though support is still not complete. many XY features(like buttons in toolbar) support PNG same as ICO, so why not finish that ""PNGfication", adopt "button icon"-code and allow same at all places that can use icons.
mainly this topic is a reminder/question for if this can happen anytime soon.
and actually i remembered about this theme 'cause again stumbled on desire to use pngs for CFI, and in scripting status(), trayballoon(). yeap, that's kinda extra-wish
