Btw, your detection is wrong.
This is not Server 2016, but Server 2019...

How can that be? :?

That was via Help | Select Language...?

Anyway, next version will show an error number in the status bar log.

Strange.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previo ... dfrom=MSDN

Code: Select all

INET_E_DOWNLOAD_FAILURE 0x800C0008

The download has failed (the connection was interrupted).
PS 1: Does it help to run XYplorer.exe as admin?
PS 2: Does it help if you delete <xydata>\German.lng before you download a new one?

Not here and no previous (Dutch) language file.

Are you also on Windows Server 2019?

OK, it's both "kind of" Windows 10, and I'm on Windows 8.1. That's the only variable here that I see that could explain the difference.

But this behavior is new, right? Newer than Windows 10. So, it must have been a recent Windows update (nothing in XY changed in the code here for many years).

There is nothing in the web. No idea what to do. :|

@Don: Can you post a direct link to a language file for testing with IE here? Never mind, found it. IE 11 downloads the file just fine.

@highend: I'm using Kaspersky Internet Security 20, which doesn't give any warning. Do you use any security software which can interfere with HTTP downloads?
