Previewing Audio Files Question
Previewing Audio Files Question
Hi There,
i was just wondering if it is possible to get the preview to start say 20% into the track.
Sometimes the tracks have a long lead times and i am there waiting for the track to start a bit time consuming when you have thousands of tracks toi preview.
Thanks for any help
Regards

Re: Previewing Audio Files Question
You could try setting SkipIntroMilliSeconds to (desired number of seconds x 1,000) in the configuration file like this:
In limited testing it seems to work. I can't find a way to use a relative offset instead.
Code: Select all
SkipIntroMilliSeconds=20000

Where is this setting entered?

Re: Previewing Audio Files Question
Tools > Open Configuration File. Then search for the setting in your text editor.
Edited to add: The safest way to proceed is, after saving XYplorer.ini in your text editor after changing the setting, to restart XYplorer *without* saving settings: File > Restart without Saving.

Re: Previewing Audio Files Question
Seems organizing these files into folders or renaming them etc would be easier with an option to have audio files start 20 seconds in when previewing. Config/preview has an option to play the first few seconds and I agree that with clicking the files and being able to avoid possible delays and long lead in times would be a useful feature. As I wrote this some posts have been made........ ill submit it anyway
Re: Previewing Audio Files Question
Hi there
Entered the setting and restarted app. Preview still starting from the beginning.
Any Ideas?

Re: Previewing Audio Files Question
When I change that setting value via tweak, it changes the number for video in Configuration | Preview | Video preview | Preview static frame skip. So it looks like that particular tweak setting is for video static frame.

Re: Previewing Audio Files Question
I get inconsistent results: the Preview Pane seems to skip the set amount of seconds, whereas the Preview tab in the Info Panel doesn't. I'm guessing the info panel ignores the setting, whereas the Preview Pane uses Windows Media Player?
cldcp00: You are using the preview tab of the Info Panel? Could you try the Preview Pane (Ctrl+F11) instead?
