.webp support

Post by Pascal P »

Hello,
webp is new image format crated by google with a really better compression/quality ratio than jpeg format.
Today, modern web browsers support it and it's great.

Could you add webp preview in XYplorer please ?

Thanks !

Yes, I noted that too, and I'd love to support it. But a codec is needed. Windows cannot do it natively.

I already added it to Configuration | Preview | Previewed Formats | Categories | Image Files a while ago. But only you can install the codec. If you find it. I didn't.

The latest beta of Icaros (http://shark007.net/forum/Thread-New-Re ... 1-1-Beta-1) works for me (Win 8.1).

OK, installed it and it works, after adding webp by dragging it to the icaros config window. Thanks!

Thanks, it works fine too for me.
(I didn't have to use Icaros, only webp codec).
