They all have a key (but only I know it :) ), but let's keep that in the other thread...

Dark mode:
At first I thought I would not use it, but now I know that dark mode is very useful with full screen view. Thank you very much.

Yes, I'm really liking Recent location pins as well as colored tabs. I'm using the pins instead of treepath now. I'm not so keen on both together at least at the moment..we'll see. :appl:

Separate colors for treepath tracing and locations pins - now they play nicely together. And thanks for allowing separate scroll values for thumbnails / tiles. :cup:  :appl:

Yes, location pins are pretty cool and stylish and potentially useful. And separate scroll values for thumbnails are definitely very useful (secretly wished for that for a long time).

Hi Don,

Recent Location Pins are awesome (sorry, it's no trumpism but the truth  ). They made me use the tree again.

+++ Configuration | Other | Shell Integration | 64-bit Windows: Added option
"Use 64-bit IFilters". Tick it to make use of any installed 64-bit
IFilters and thus enable previewing and searching the textual contents of
complex document formats (e.g. Office files, PDF).

Notes:
- Notoriously Microsoft Office made it a habit to install only 64-bit
IFilters on a 64-bit system, even if the Office version itself is
32-bit. However, 64-bit IFilters are completely useless to other 32-bit
apps (Office itself does not need them).
- From this version onwards XYplorer can optionally access those 64-bit
IFilters by way of a 64-bit helper process created by Contents64.exe,
which from now on is included in the distribution package.
Contents64.exe (currently ver 1.3) has to be located in the path of
XYplorer.exe. The installer takes care of this.
- In practical terms this means XYplorer can now text-preview (e.g. in the
Hover Box) and content-search Office and PDF files on 64-bit Windows.
- Of course, the option is only offered under 64-bit Windows (it would be
meaningless under 32-bit Windows).
- The functionality is provided by the helper file Contents64.exe which
has to be located in the path of XYplorer.exe. The new download packages
contain this file.
- Last not least, credits and a big thanks for designing and writing
Contents64.exe go to "Mesh" (from XY Beta Club)!
Haven't tested it yet, but alone the willingness to finally add this... THANK YOU! :appl: :appl: :appl: This should remove one of the biggest (if not the biggest) drawbacks of XY. I can't believe that I am allowed to still experience this in my lifetime. Or I am just lucky to be living in this instance of universes where it happened? Anyway, thank you, Don.

One question, though:
Since you write that Mesh wrote Contents64.exe, do you have the code as well and do you take responsibility for it or are you pushing responsibility back to Mesh in case that the exe causes problems?

Regards

UPDATE:
A short test search with a pdf showed that it works so far: Option off -> content search does not find the pdf; Option on -> pdf is found.

Good question, pointing at the very reason I usually avoid 3rd party code. Mesh is the one who also wrote ContextMenu64.exe which works flawlessly since v13.60.0010 - 2014-01-13 21:00. So the source looks trustworthy enough to me. But you can't be too careful. Actually what I uploaded today will probably remain beta, since another solution is in the making by highend of forum fame, and this will include an open source code (well, open to me ). Today I just needed a quick proof of concept for Sir Galahad. :)

UPDATE: Green light for Contents64.exe. I have the source code. Thanks, Mesh!

This is really awesome:
Now you can optionally have Color Filters fill the whole column.
I never thought of it, but now I adore it: in List view when you selected a file, the default selection rectangle used to cover entirely the Color filter, so it was nearly impossible to notice the latter.
Now finally I can see my colors with no effort. Thank you!! :appl:

Thanks for Hover Preview. After @highend helped me to get it working, it saves me a ton of time. I used to use a script to toggle the views.

Cheers,

! List: In view "List" drag selection (aka lasso selection) did not mind the
actual captions of the items but the whole cell. Fixed. Now it works like
in Explorer

Just want to say that I like the path XY went along throughout the last time. "Recent" top highlight for me are any 64bit-compatibility improvements. Also otherwise I feel better with it than like 3 or 4 years ago, but that could have also been due to some personal dark phases I went through. for XY.
