That does work. Do you think the label as icon-thing sufficiently obscure that the text colour change doesn't need automation?
Well, that's a nice way to say that I overlooked it. :)

I also saw that some of the built-in toolbar graphics totally fail in the dark. Needs polish...

Can anybody confirm that the default highlight color is
- #0078D7 on Win 10
- #3399FF on Win 8.1
So, would you say anything is wrong with the dark mode selection color in Win10? IMO it's a bit too dark. Do you agree?
Nope, quite the contrary, I like it. It's Win 8.1 blue that is too saturated imo. Win 10 blue is dimmer and looks better in the dark theme - and I don't see it in bright mode because I use the native selection theme.
Oh. Well, you can use a custom color...

Today I wondered wether the popups resulting from SC popup() and popupnested() should also be rendered dark when in dark mode.

Cannot decide. :?:

As a silver bullet solution to all the small issues and future proof, could this be applicable:

I think this belongs here as it's about dark theme.

I was wondering if there's an easy way for us to share our colors/themes with each other? Essentially, be able to import/export all "Colors and Styles" in the settings.

Thanks.

I think that would be a great idea especially if we were able to import and apply the color theme file without a restart as you have done Don with the Dark Mode toolbar button. Users could have multiple color, white or dark themes and be able to apply them via our own simple menu).

May I just say this is the most exciting feature in XYplorer in about 5 years. Such a simple thing, yet so lovely.

So I am guessing there's no OEM way of making XYplorer's menu top toolbar dark other than using Windowblinds? It's not the end of the world.
I use Windows 10 and this is what my toolbar looks like, but it doesn't carry over into apps.

EDIT: I stand corrected. You can use custom themes by downloading UltraUXThemePatcher_3.5.2 (yes, it's legit), downloading the custom theme, then dropping theme in "C:\Windows\Resources\Themes" folder and then double clicking on the .theme file

It doesn't look as good as the default windows one, but at least I can start searching for one that is good..

Thanks. But my way to stay future proof has always been to never work with anything 3rd party. :)

Yes, that would be nice. Though people might differ in what should be part of it and what not...

These are Windows menus. Currently I have no good way to color them.

Yeah, I can see that colors are very subjective. But simply, I am looking for an easy way to copy my colors across my other computers without taking other settings with me. I could have easily copied ini values across but the color values are not all in one place to do that. (For a start, maybe you can point me to the correct ini values I need to copy?)
Also, I sometimes prefer colors from your screenshots and wonder how to replicate that. With a simple import/export mechanism you can provide us with color presets and give them cool names. :D .. like Dark Chocolate or Death Metal.
