Make xy remember the custom file sorting even if one goes up and down in the breadcrumb bar,can this be done by adding a separate cache or some sort of like this.

As long as
Configuration | Colors and Styles | Styles | Remember list settings per tab
is active and
Configuration | Colors and Styles | Styles | Apply to... - Sort order (column, direction)
is ticked
XY does it already...

Re: Make xy remember the custom file sorting...
When you are moving from one folder to another on the Breadcrumb, are you on the same tab as would happen on a tab "Locked Home Zone"? You may want to Save Folder Views (i.e., View | Folder View Settings) for your different folder requirements rather than relying on tabs. I say that because a tab will save your view settings but it wouldn't save save different / multiple settings for different folders used on the same tab.

Respected don, somehow or other add this feature don, even opus is allowing to preserve order if one goes back and forth or up and down in the BC bar,so it means it's possible to implement this, add this to your to do list kindly.

Re: Make xy remember the custom file sorting...
as klownboy has mentioned, you can save a folder view for each location.
View > Folder View Settings > Enable Folder View Settings. There's also a dedicated toolbar button.
Then go to each location where XY should remember the sort order, perform the desired sort, then do View > Folder View Settings > Save Folder View.
View > Folder View Settings > Enable Folder View Settings. There's also a dedicated toolbar button.
Then go to each location where XY should remember the sort order, perform the desired sort, then do View > Folder View Settings > Save Folder View.

Sure it does!
Go to "View > Folder View Settings > Edit..." and make sure there's a checkmark beside "Sort order".

Oh you mean Manual Sorting.
Right, Don, PCSO doesn't seem to work for me either. Can you check?
