Mh, just tried the new hover box archive preview feature with 0028...

Doesn't work at all here (for NON zip files)...

I'm using
ZipPath7zip=D:\Users\<my user name>\Tools\XYplorer\@Tools\7-Zip\7z.exe
and the 7-Zip folder only contains the .exe and the belonging .dll file (both from 18.05 of 7-Zip x86)

I didn't add neither .rar nor .cab to Web Files but even if I do, the error persists...

That might be connected to a bug fixed in 19.30.0029. Please wait...

Fixed with 0029 (previewed a .cab file first), thanks!

Regarding rar/7z hover, my crazy path does not support <xydrive>. :om:

*Edit: One other thing, if I set my crazy WinRAR path to something other than a default install path, and the executable is not there, as unresolved path, I would expect RAR to be handled by 7-zip, but it is not.

Can XYplorer look in the system path ("Path" environment variable) for UnRAR.exe or 7z .exe?
I quickly tested it and it does not seem to work.
Although we can already tweak the location (which is fine), XYplorer searching the path would avoid that small trouble for people that frequently use command line version of these tools (as myself  )

You mean look in all paths that are listed in %Path%?

What is your location for those tools?

I usually keep command line tools in C:\Utils (kind of a "legacy" location) which I add to the path. That way I can use them from the command line and other application without bothering if they are available or not.
I know I can add this path to the ZipPath7zip or ZipPathUnRAR tweaks, but it feels more natural (to me, at least) if an exe file in the path is "automatically seen".
Does searching locations in %Path% incur in some sort of heavy overhead?

Checking for existence takes time...

Do you keep them in a subfolder of C:\Utils, eg C:\Utils\WinRAR\... ?

The command line tools are all at C:\Utils, not in any subfolder.

Another wish/question:

Is there a font selection possibility for HoverBox? I would like to select a fixed width font (Consolas, ...) for HB, regarding the 7-zip output (actually it is very nice as is, apart for a 7-zip output where something like Consolas would be nicer, I think).

This font is used: Configuration | Colors and Styles | Fonts | Main Contents

For this phase the wishing window is closed... :)

I won't go there now. Maybe in phase 2...

No problem! You really don't have to bother with every "niche" request/suggestion like mine... :D

What is the engine to show video thumbnails in HoverBox? Like it shows up with .mp4 but doesn't show up with .mkv despite they use exact same content in it (exactly same video with same codecs) just different container.
