Seeing that the tree and list all have a horizontal scroll bar should the same apply to the catalog. Personally, I prefer it the way it is but should the catalog grow to include nested entries then it may be easier to see the structure.

I think I remember reading that giving the catalog multiple levels runs against its purpose (ie bringing needed stuff up to surface level)

As panorama said, the Zen philosophy votes against a nested Catalog. I will however use this occasion to plug my 2 columns Catalog wish here again, cause that one would help my Zenitude
