Now that would be cool. Will it work by immediately scrolling with the mouse as long as the HBox is up even though the mouse is not over Hbox? Obviously now as soon as you move the mouse away, the box goes away. I would think that we could scroll the box as long as the box is visible regardless of mouse position. At some later pint you might consider this for other Hover Boxes like a text box.admin wrote:BTW, here's an idea for the one of the next version: You can scroll the Hover Box contents using the mouse wheel!

Exactly. And yes, I'm already considering it. It would be the epitome of coolness...klownboy wrote:Now that would be cool. Yes, with this resolution I'm seeing it too. Guess I will fix it...jupe wrote:If you are asking me:

Re: HoverBox improvements
I just noticed some HoverBox folder icons on network shares aren't working, similar to the issue I described here:
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=19387&start=30#p162041
Same folders, showing same blank icon, but in HoverBox now.

Re: HoverBox improvements
Also, there should be a toolbar icon for hoverbox to toggle it,by which one can just clicking this icon can enable/disable hoverbox
without going to settings every time.

Re: HoverBox improvements
Recent betas (not just .0007)...
Tree: When "Full row select" is checked, then hover over icon apparently does not show the box. I would not expect that.
List: When "Show info tips only when hovering file icon (File Info Tips)" is checked, then - when in tiles or thumbnail view - I would rather expect that tile/thumbnail "takes the icon role", and not its text.

Re: HoverBox improvements
Honestly if that were to happen when viewing in thumbnail mode we have the Hover Box popping up incessantly and quite annoyingly all the time when not desired due to the large areas covered by the thumbnails. It does come up on the "filenames" and "folders". There's another setting under Thumbnails to "Show icon on thumbnail". I'd say only show a Hover Box on that icon if someone has that set, otherwise only on the filename or folder as it does now.Borut wrote:List: When "Show info tips only when hovering file icon (File Info Tips)" is checked, then - when in tiles or thumbnail view - I would rather expect that tile/thumbnail "takes the icon role", and not its text.

Re: HoverBox improvements
I think we can do better than those 3 dots. What about this way to show that the list longer than can be shown:
I (or you) might come up with something better later, but you get the idea...

Re: HoverBox improvements
If you're still keen on implementing a dark theme, I think that the hover box background should be dark in that case, and this wouldn't work so well.

Re: HoverBox improvements
There is always foreground and background color, even in dark mode.
