I didn't find a suitable translation for 2 expressions. Maybe someone will find it... :kidding:

Need a coffee now :cup:
Looks great, thanks a lot! It's online. That was almost 2 years without an update in French!

  :cup:
Thanks!
I just noticed that "Misc" window (that lists app system settings) in the help menu has no strings to translate when using the translation tool; is it normal?

Yes, this is by design. This window is primarily meant for debugging, so it's important that *I* can understand it. :)

Right, I understand :)

Can you please help me to translate the 2 missing strings? 8)

I'm unable to understand:
- where the string "FAIL (clone filetimes)" should display and what it means;
- what the option "Scrolled Toolbar &Wraps" is supposed to do.

Thanks for your help

1) When files are copied somewhere with the option "Preserve all item dates", then the item dates (Modified, Created, Accessed) have to be cloned (duplicated) from the source file to the target file. Reading the dates is never a problem. But writing them (also known as time-stamping) to the target file can sometimes fail. Then you get this small error message in the report: "FAIL (clone filetimes)"

2) When the Toolbar is scrollable you can drag it with the left or right mouse button to the left or right to show buttons that were not visible because of lacking space. If "Scrolled Toolbar &Wraps" is enabled then the toolbar behaves like a never-ending circle: you can drag on and on in one direction, the end and the beginning touch to make it a circle. Like a carousell.

Hi,

could you please upgrade my licence to a lifetime one, so I can update the French translation as long as new versions are released?
This would be cool :) I already bought two "1 year" licences.

Thanks in advance :)
Etienne

Hi,

I'm afraid that's not the way it works. You have to follow the same rules as everybody else: If you want the lifetime license you have to buy it. Just like with bread, beer, and other stuff for sale. :)

I understand you point of view...
But please do not forget that "everybody else" does not translate your app for free ;)

Whoops, I did not see that you are the translator! "drocca69" is still unfamliliar to me (after years of "pseudoz").

OF COURSE, you get a free lifetime license! Write me an email with your desired username...

Hi Donald,

New French translation 8.103 is almost completed but I've got some questions before I can send it:

1/ I can't find what means "Right-drag": can you please explain it?
2/ Same for "dragged-over tab": what does this mean?
3/ What is a "Boxed Branch"? Where is this string located in the Configuration windows?

Thanks a lot for your help :)

Regards,
Etienne J.

1/ It means: do a drag-and-drop with the right click. Something like "Faire un glisser-déplacer avec le clic droit"
2/ It means: a tab on which a drag-and-drop is done. Something like "Onglet sur lequel un glissé-déplacé est effectué"
3/ From here:
jupe wrote: 09 Feb 2018 10:16 Boxed branch is just used to highlight an area so that it makes it easier to find in the tree, a branch in this context means a folder and all its sub folders have the boxed branch as the background to make it more noticeable what location you are in. If you use the command Toggle Boxed Branch you should notice the background of your current location and its children turn grey (the color is customizable through config) if you look closely.
AFAIK this doesn't appear in the Configuration window, but only on the Favorites → Toggle Boxed Branch menu.

Thanks a lot for you quick answer!

Latest question - what does mean the following string?
"Use <command> as placeholder for address bar input (!-escape)"

TIA,
