Running Windows XP, SP2, all latest updates.
I am using XYplorer (latest beta 6.30.008) on folders full of digital camera images, average size of 1.5 mb each. The view is 96x96 Thumbnails with the Info Panel showing. I am cleaning up the directories and doing a lot of moving of groups of images. I find that XYPlorer is crashing often causing the Dr. Watson debugger to start up. This really disrupts the workflow.
Let me know if there is any other information I can provide.
Cheers,
D

Re: Moving directories of large images crashes XYplorer ofte
Never happened here. Describe exactly how you do the moving, and how many files are moved.

Anywhere from half a dozen to 20 files at the most. Highlighted them then drag them to the destination folder. XYPlorer crashes but the files do move.
The crash doesn't happen every single time. It was happening very often with a beat version a month or so old and then I updated to the latest and it is less frequent than before, but still enough to frustrate.
Cheers,
D

More exact, please. Right or left mouse drag?, destination in tree?, same drive or different drive?, when exactly comes the crash (do you see the shell "moving..." dialog?).CitizenD wrote:Anywhere from half a dozen to 20 files at the most. If it's within the same drive, it should take almost no time, right? (It's only a FAT update, no bytes are moved).
Anyway, I tried everything: no crash.
