Saving and loading config settings

When I save the configuration settings and then reload them it does not retain the Tabs I have created.

This is the same for both loading the settings and for making an icon on the desktop with the current settings.

I assumed that the reason for this feature is to save things like this is to save time setting them up manually each time.

If I leave XYp running the whole time while I save one or more different settings files, when I load one of those ini files and then a different one, it does change everything including the tabs.

But once I leave XYp, even without saving the settings and restart it, those same ini settings files no longer change the tabs.

Any ideas?

Well, I admit I understand the confusion. "Configuration" in this context only refers to the "configuration file" in the narrow sense, i.e. to XYplorer.ini.

If you want to save the complete configuration in the wider sense, use this command:
File | Settings Special | Backup Application Data Folder...

There is no matching "Restore..." command yet. This is on my to do list.
